LD Designs: Behind the scenes of the Fashion shoot

Fashion in itself is an art. Especially the way that fashion is rendered in Nigeria. Every one is a designer and style is creative, colouful and personalised. Living in Britain, the mentality really is less is more, understanded before ostentatious. The opposite is true of Nigeria. Fabrics are bright, happy and unapologetic. If you want a dress you choose the fabric, you choose the style and you also choose a tailor. Everyone is well dressed from your pauper, to your prince, because fashion is personal. This is why when the opportunity came up for me to creatively direct LD Designs, a fabric surface designer line of fabrics and scarfs, I was happy to deviate from fine art and creatively direct the shoot.
